*Due to COVID-19 group restrictions competitions scheduled for Heartland Games 2020 have been cancelled or revised.
Heartland Games was launched in 2013 as a means to celebrate those seniors leading healthy and active lives, and to provide an enjoyable forum in which to do so. With the addition of track and field in 2016, Heartland Games drew in a whole new level of enthused participants. “I do this to stay health and fit!” says Carolyn Langenwalter, a 78-year-old sprinter.
The 2020 Heartland Games will have 2 events:
Track & Field Meet
Cancelled Heartland Masters Track & Field Meet.
With an unknown reopening date for the WSU track facilities the 2 day track & field meet slated for June 5 – 6th has been cancelled. We will return again in spring/summer 2021.
Competitive Pickleball Tournament
will be at Ralph Wulz Riverside Tennis Facility, 551 North Nims, Wichita, KS on Saturday & Sunday, September 26-27, 2020.
2 day competitive play – time and details to be announced
Grandparents Day 5K Run, 1 Mile Walk & Pancake Feed
will start and end at Senior Services of Wichita, 200 South Walnut, Wichita, KS on Sunday, September 13, 2020
